MileX Engineering is a growing industrial door engineering company seeking a highly organised and confident Office Assistant to join our busy team. About the Role
As an Operational Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. You will be working closely with the Works Manager, Business Support & Compliance Manager, and wider team to ensure the smooth running of office processes.
This is a part-time position, working 4 days per week, 5 hours per day. Working hours will be scheduled within our core business hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm, with exact timings to be agreed during the offer stage for the successful candidate.
The role requires someone who is proactive, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently. The environment can be demanding at times, so a positive attitude and the ability to remain professional under pressure are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the Works Manager and Business Support & Compliance Manager
- Managing and responding to customer emails in a professional and timely manner
- Uploading and maintaining documents across multiple internal management systems
- Assisting in the preparation and generation of customer quotes
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping
- Carrying out general office duties to support the wider team
- Answering incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in an Engineering office-based background would be desirable and/or administrative environment (essential)
- A confident and professional communicator, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to handle challenging situations with professionalism
- A willingness to learn and develop knowledge within the industrial door engineering sector
- Good attention to detail and IT proficiency
