Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Part 1 Scaffolder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, and maintaining scaffolding structures on various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Responsibilities
- Erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications
- Inspect scaffolding components regularly for damage or wear and report any issues immediately
- Ensure all scaffolding is secure, stable, and safe for use by workers at all times
- Assist with the transportation and organisation of materials and equipment needed for scaffolding tasks
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, or masons to facilitate smooth workflow
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risk on-site
- Maintain a clean work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely when not in use
Experience
- Proven experience in scaffolding, particularly as a Part 1 Scaffolder or similar role within the construction industry
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations governing scaffolding work
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment necessary for scaffolding assembly
- Skills in related trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or construction painting are advantageous but not essential
- Experience working with various materials including metal tubes, couplers, boards, and fittings
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and site plans accurately
