Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols
- Assist with medication administration and provide guidance to patients regarding their prescriptions
- Support pharmacists in maintaining stock levels and organising medication supplies
- Ensure all dispensing activities comply with legal and safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering medication-related advice
- Assist in preparing medication packages, labels, and documentation for delivery or collection
- Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
- Excellent communication skills to effectively support patients and team members
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment
- Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are desirable but not essential
