Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, construction site experience, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in commercial and residential buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment to complete installations and repairs
- Perform remodeling tasks related to plumbing systems as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians to ensure project completion
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to plumbing systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Skills
- Proven experience in construction plumbing, remodeling, or related fields
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading, welding, and schematics reading
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and HVAC components
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work
- Experience with construction site safety procedures and heavy lifting techniques
- Knowledge of carpentry, maintenance person tasks, assembly, and remodeling is a plus
- Valid commercial driving license is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling diverse plumbing tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their technical skills through relevant experience or certifications.
Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
