Job description:
Spherion Staffing is currently looking for a Regrind Forklift Operator to join our Vinyl Fencing facility. This position is responsible for safety operating a forklift, transporting materials throughout the facility, supplying production areas, and supporting regrind operations in a fast-paced environment.
**This position is only for a 12-hour, rotating shifts, so the perfect candidate must be comfortable working a rotating schedule.
1ST ROTATING SHIFT | 6:00AM – 6:30PM | 2-2-3 SCHEDULE
2ND ROTATING SHIFT | 6:00PM – 6:30AM | 2-2-3 SCHEDULE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move raw materials, regrind materials, and finished products.
- Supply production lines with materials as needed.
- Transport scrap and recyclable materials to designated regrind areas.
- Load and unload trailers and storage areas.
- Maintain accurate material movement and inventory practices.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and follow all safety procedures.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
Physical Demands of the Role:
This job is physically intensive and best suited for individuals who enjoy staying active:
- On your feet for 12 hours each shift
- Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs or more
- Constant bending, reaching, crouching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and walking
- Working in a hot warehouse environment
- Performing repetitive motions throughout the shift
SKILLS:
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity throughout the day
- Ability to pay close attention to details
- Knowledgeable of inventory control best practices
- Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3+ years experience Forklift Operation
- 2-3 + years Material Handling
- Ability to stand or walk for 10-12+ hours
- Strong work ethic and comfort with labor-intensive duties
- Willing to submit to a background and drug screen
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
