Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Residential Plumbing Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential plumbing systems while delivering exceptional service to homeowners.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues in residential homes, including leaks, clogs, water heater problems, and fixture malfunctions.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and related components.
- Perform inspections to identify plumbing concerns and recommend effective repair or replacement solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Accurately document service calls, repairs, and materials used.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repair options, and preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential plumbing service and repair.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, fixtures, piping materials, and water distribution systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective, long-term solutions.
- Familiarity with local and national plumbing codes and industry best practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with water heaters, drain cleaning, sewer repairs, and fixture installations.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics.
- Professional appearance and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds or more as needed.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, crawl spaces, attics, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
