We Knead You! – Bakery and shop floor Assistant Wanted Burry Port
Customer Assistant needed for busy supermarket. Working for the largest independent retailer in South Wales, you will be required to achieve and maintain the high level of customer satisfaction and store standards currently being achieved.
Your role Shop Floor
Assist the store manager and assistant store manager with all areas of the store operation
Operate the checkout and handle cash
Make sure our shelves are well stocked at all times
Carry out regular freshness checks to ensure we offer the freshest produce
Unpack daily stock deliveries
Rotate stock
Ensure the store is clean and tidy at all times, both the shop floor and behind the scenes
Keep the store clear and ensure any potential hazards are dealt with quickly and efficiently
Help with merchandising stock and preparing promotions and special offers
Your profile
Have a can do attitude and excellent customer service skills
The willingness to go the extra mile for our customers
To be responsible and reliable
The ability to be flexible for evenings and weekends as well as day shifts
To enjoy working in a fast paced, varied environment, hitting targets and meeting deadlines
To work well in and take pride in a job well done
Excellent numeracy skills
Preferably have previous experience in a customer facing role but this is not essential providing you have the right attitude.

Location: CKS Supermarkets where sugar, flour, and a pinch of magic collide.
Do you love the smell of fresh bread in the morning? Do cupcakes whisper your name? Can you handle the heat without starting a flour fight… (or at least clean up after one)? Then you might be our next dough-tally awesome Bakery Assistant!
What You’ll Do:
- Keep the bakery looking as fresh as our sourdough.
- Assist in prepping pastries, breads, and treats that make diets tremble.
- Serve customers with a smile that’s sweeter than our cinnamon rolls.
- Take orders, pack goodies, and maybe write a cheeky message on a cake (bonus points for puns).
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who rises to the occasion (pun intended).
- A multitasker who can juggle trays without turning it into a circus act as well as shop floor.
- A people person – because bread is important, but so is good banter.
- Basic food handling knowledge (or willingness to learn – we’ll teach you the yeast we can).
- Stack the shelves
Hours to be discussed need to be available Evenings and Weekends
