SAP FI Lead Consultant (SAP Public Sector / Defence & Security) Key Focus

A senior, hands‑on SAP Finance (FI) specialist with experience in:

• SAP FI functional leadership and solution delivery
• Security‑sensitive and compliance‑driven environments
• Demonstrate expertise in C‑Suite stakeholder engagement and management
• Responsibility for design and delivery of SAP Financial solution

Contract Details

• Duration: 12‑month initial contract
• Programme Length: Up to 3 years
• Location: EU‑based projects (Must be UK or EU passport holder). Can be based anywhere in the EU.
• Working Model: Remote, hybrid, or on‑site depending on security requirements
• Travel: Approximately once per month within Europe
• Start Date: ASAP

Eligibility Requirements

• EU or UK passport holder
• Eligible for security clearance
• Existing SC or DV clearance is advantageous

Core Experience Required

• SAP FI Lead / Senior SAP FI Consultant experience
• SAP S/4

  HANA implementation experience

• Defence & Security sector experience
• Experience working on large public‑sector or defence transformation programmes
• Strong stakeholder management across finance, IT, and programme leadership

Highly Desirable

• SAP Defence Forces & Public Security (DFPS) experience
• Knowledge of:
  • NATO standards
  • Ministry of Defence (MoD) frameworks
  • Defence procurement and governance processes
• Consultancy background
• Professional finance/accountancy background

SAP FI functional expertise

Defence/public‑sector programme experience

Security clearance eligibility

Leadership and consulting skills

Ability to work in highly regulated environments

Likely Responsibilities

• Lead SAP FI work streams within a defence programme
• Design and govern finance processes in S/4

  HANA

• Ensure compliance with defence security and audit requirements
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical SAP teams
• Support programme governance, testing, deployment, and operational readiness

Market Assessment

• Senior SAP FI Leads
• SAP Finance Architects
• Former Big 4 or major consulting professionals with public‑sector SAP experience

The strongest profiles will have a combination of SAP FI leadership, defence‑sector exposure, and active or obtainable SC/DV clearance.
