Security Alarm Service / Installation Engineer or Trainee Jobs in Weymouth at South Coast Alarms

Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit an additional experienced Engineer (or will consider an inexperienced but suitable candidate for a trainee position)

The successful candidate would be involved in the installation and maintenance of all types of electronic security systems Covering Dorset.

· We are SSAIB Approved Installers and have been successfully growing our business for almost 40 years

Job Description

  • · Security Installation and Servicing of all types of security systems.
  • · 40 hours per week
  • · Company van provided
  • · Laptop provided
  • · Mobile phone allowance
  • · 24 days leave plus 8 statutory Public Holidays

Essential Requirements

  • · Excellent communication and customer service skills are necessary
  • · Hard working, keen and punctual
  • · Live within easy access of our office
  • · Able to work as part of a team or independently
  • · Full clean UK driving license for at least 2 years
  • · All of our Staff must undertake DBS and Credit checks
  • · Being available in a 24 hour emergency cover rota one week in three/four (additional pay for call outs)

Experience of Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control is desirable, but candidates with electrical or electronic knowledge may be considered for a trainee position (Wages are dependant upon ability and experience).

Desirable Requirements

  • · 3 years plus experience in the Security Industry
  • · Good knowledge of current British and EU Standards
  • · Good leadership and teamwork skills
  • · Good IT skills
  • . Full Clean Full UK Driving License

Trainee Position Requirements

  • Good grades in maths, science and English
  • Good technical mind and interest
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Good work ethic, keen to learn and punctual

Trainees will have the opportunity to gain BTEC Level 3 Qualifications via distance learning
