Job Description:
Supervises and ensures security guards maintain order, enforce regulation and observe applicable laws, regulations and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides coaching, leadership, and corrective action according to company standards and guidelines.
- Complies with all Security departmental and casino policies and procedures to ensure no disruption of business operations.
- Accepts reports of suspicious or unusual activities.
- Ensures all security officers’ licenses and permits are current and updated.
- Conducts fair and timely performance feedback to staff members.
- Ensures the safety of all guests (internal and external) is being adequately provided for.
- Monitors the opening and closing of machines for routine repairs and maintenance to ensure the integrity of the machine, when necessary.
- Ensures all accident/incident reports are complete, accurate and distributed.
- Reviews vendors’ sign in log to ensure processes are being followed.
- Assigns staff to ensure efficient coverage of premises; secures buildings and grounds, maintains desired public order to ensure the comfort and safety of the casino patrons, employees and protection of company assets.
- Promptly engages, removes, and escorts any and all unwanted items, guests and employees, as necessary.
- Cooperates with Federal, State and local Law Enforcement agencies to ensure matters are being resolved in a timely manner.
- Partners with and work with Surveillance department, when warranted.
- Ensures all hand-held radios are being maintained; working properly, are not damaged, are logged in and out, etc., to minimize disruption to department.
- Controls and defuses potential problems and assists employees and guests in emergencies.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. College Degree preferred.
- 2 years of related experience required; 3 years preferred.
