Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those we serve. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Develop and maintain individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Medication Administration
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour to the relevant professionals or staff promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including IT-related duties/ PCS care planning system.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in elderly care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred, medication experience included.
  • Strong command of English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans, risk assessments is desirable.
  • Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation effectively, paper based and via PCS devices.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support elderly individuals in their daily lives.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in health and social care would be beneficial but not essential.
  • MUST be experienced and competent in Medication Administration
