About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex client projects across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This is a client-facing role requiring exceptional project leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with consulting, development, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into successful outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with consulting and client teams to gather, document, and manage business requirements.
  • Ensure client objectives and expectations are understood and successfully delivered.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
  • Document requirements as user stories and acceptance criteria and manage project backlogs effectively.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions and coordinate delivery activities with development teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong product and domain knowledge to support successful project execution.
  • Define, coordinate, and oversee testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Facilitate client-facing workshops, sprint reviews, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live activities.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, helping to build long-term relationships.
  • Work closely with delivery and development teams to ensure adherence to established processes and best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivery excellence.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, timelines, and budgets, ensuring appropriate governance and reporting.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Project Management roles.
  • At least 3 years' experience delivering software development or SDLC-based projects.
  • Proven experience delivering externally facing web-based portal or digital application projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to align project outcomes to business objectives.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Desirable

  • Experience within FinTech, Wealth Management, Financial Services, or related sectors.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and sprint-based delivery.
  • Experience working with customer-facing digital platforms, portals, or enterprise software solutions.
  • Knowledge of CRM, business applications, or digital transformation programmes.
