We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Sous Chef to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Lead food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service experiences
- Develop menus in collaboration with executive chef, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication
- Uphold hospitality standards by providing excellent service and support to guests when required
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Experience in food safety procedures and compliance with health regulations
- Previous restaurant, pub or catering experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and trends, with a passion for innovation in food presentation
- Familiarity with serving practices within a hospitality environment is advantageous
