Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £37,360 per year + bonuses
Shifts: 1 day on, 2 days off – sleeps ins are required on every shift
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our family-run children’s homes in Leicestershire. You’ll play a key role in supporting young people with complex needs while leading and mentoring a small team of Residential Support Workers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead shifts and support a team to deliver high-quality care
- Build positive relationships with young people
- Support daily routines, activities, and appointments
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
- Contribute to care planning, reviews, and record keeping
- Manage challenging behaviour using therapeutic approaches
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting
- Experience supporting children with ASC, mental health, or emotional and behavioural needs
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
