Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Northampton
Salary: £37,360 per year + bonuses

Shifts: 1 day on, 2 days off – sleeps ins are required on every shift

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our family-run children’s homes in Northampton. You’ll play a key role in supporting young people with complex needs while leading and mentoring a small team of Residential Support Workers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead shifts and support a team to deliver high-quality care
  • Build positive relationships with young people
  • Support daily routines, activities, and appointments
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
  • Contribute to care planning, reviews, and record keeping
  • Manage challenging behaviour using therapeutic approaches

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting
  • Experience supporting children with ASC, mental health, or emotional and behavioural needs
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
