About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation works across assigned sites. You will ensure all works are completed in line with programme requirements, quality standards, resident commitments, and PAS 2030/2035 frameworks.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team (including Retrofit Assessors, Designers, Coordinators, RLO/CLO, and supply chain partners), you will take day-to-day responsibility for site coordination, subcontractor supervision, and quality assurance. You will also ensure that all measures are installed in the correct sequence, following fabric-first principles and approved design information.

As the primary site-based lead, you will be accountable for health & safety, quality control, housekeeping, resident engagement, and subcontractor performance. Your role will be key in ensuring sites are well-managed, audit-ready, and delivered to a high technical and customer-focused standard.

This is an 18–24 month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent position depending on future workload in the area.

Hours: 40 hours per week (typically 8:00am–5:00pm) Overtime as required

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage retrofit and decarbonisation sites from pre-start through to completion, including handover, snagging, and demobilisation

· Provide accurate progress updates to the Project Manager, including labour, materials, risks, defects, and resident issues

· Supervise all site personnel including subcontractors, direct labour, agency workers, and visitors

· Ensure all operatives are inducted, RAMS briefed, competent, and working to site rules and safe systems of work

· Coordinate short-term sequencing, logistics, and material availability to maintain programme delivery

· Maintain comprehensive site records, including inductions, toolbox talks, permits, daily diaries, QA checks, photos, deliveries, waste records, and H&S inspections

· Ensure compliance with PAS 2030/2035, TrustMark, Building Regulations, and client specifications

· Carry out quality inspections, manage snagging, and escalate non-conformances with corrective actions

· Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship, productivity, and site standards

· Support resident engagement by maintaining safe access, respectful conduct, and clear communication

· Attend site meetings, audits, inspections, and client walkarounds, providing accurate updates on progress and risks

· Ensure full and accurate evidence capture for audit, funding, and compliance purposes

· Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all site activities

· Raise early warnings regarding risks related to safety, design, access, programme, quality, or cost

· Ensure correct storage, handling, and use of materials in line with manufacturer guidance Support the Project Manager and commercial team with site information for valuations, variations, and completion records

· Promote a positive site culture focused on safety, quality, professionalism, and right-first-time delivery

· Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and feedback

About You:

· Proven experience in site management or supervision within retrofit, construction, refurbishment, or decarbonisation projects

· Experience working in occupied homes, live environments, or public sector schemes

· Strong understanding of multi-measure retrofit works (e.g. insulation, ventilation, roofing, windows, heating, renewables)

· Working knowledge of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 delivery requirements

· Experience supervising subcontractors and site-based delivery teams

· Strong ability to maintain site records, QA documentation, daily diaries, and photographic evidence

· Track record of delivering safe, clean, and productive sites within programme constraints

· Experience supporting audits, inspections, and compliance processes

Pay: £45,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
