Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Social Media Manager (B2C Focus) to lead all consumer-facing social media efforts for a national portfolio of home improvement events.

This role is responsible for driving public attendance, engagement, and brand awareness through strategic content creation, multi-account management, and live event coverage.

You will work closely with the B2B Social Media Manager, Marketing team, and senior leadership to ensure cohesive messaging across all audiences.

This role reports directly to the Marketing Director and Senior Leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • B2C Social Media Strategy & Execution
  • Own and execute all consumer-facing (B2C) social media strategy
  • Drive attendance and engagement for all scheduled events
  • Maintain consistent posting calendars across multiple event accounts
  • Align content with overall marketing campaigns and show timelines

Multi-Account Event Management

  • Manage multiple social media accounts for different events and markets
  • Track event schedules, locations, and promotional timelines
  • Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and campaign execution across all shows

Content Creation & On-Site Coverage

  • Create engaging B2C content including: Event promotions, Short-form video (Reels, TikTok, etc.), Graphics and social posts
  • Live event coverage (photo, video, interviews, real-time updates)
  • Travel to events as needed to capture on-site content
  • Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams during live events

Cross-Promotion & Partner Engagement

  • Manage and support shared social media campaigns with exhibitors and vendors
  • Encourage and incentivize clients to cross-promote events on their own channels
  • Build relationships with exhibitors to expand organic reach and visibility

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track engagement, reach, and audience growth across all platforms
  • Analyze content performance and optimize strategy accordingly
  • Provide reporting by event and campaign performance

Tools & Platform Management

Use social media management tools such as:

  • Sprout Social
  • Hootsuite
  • HubSpot
  • Or similar platforms
  • Manage scheduling, publishing, and performance tracking systems
  • Work within CRM and marketing systems as needed

Team Collaboration

  • Work alongside the B2B Social Media Manager to ensure aligned messaging across audiences
  • Collaborate closely with the broader Marketing team on campaign execution
  • Support integrated marketing initiatives across all shows

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional social media experience required
  • Strong experience managing Facebook and Instagram (required)
  • Experience managing multiple accounts or brands simultaneously
  • Proficiency with social media management tools such as:
  • Sprout Social
  • Hootsuite
  • HubSpot
  • Or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing workflows
  • Strong content creation and storytelling skills
  • Video content creation experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel for events as needed

  • Reports directly to the Marketing Director and Senior Leadership

  • Operations Team (for live events)

About the Role

This role is focused on bringing live consumer events to life through social media. You will play a critical role in driving public awareness and attendance by producing high-quality, engaging content across multiple markets before, during, and after each event.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
