The Fox and Hounds is an up and coming pub and garden with rooms, serving up refined classics and hearty British dishes along side noted ales and an ever changing wine list. We’re all about good times, good vibes and giving our guests the best experience.
Where?
Llancarfan is an idyllic village in the heart of a coastal county, the Vale of Glamorgan. The pub sits along the river just along from the ford. Only 20 minutes from Cardiff.
The Role
A Chef de Partie who will help in the success of the pub. The business needs someone hands on and positive. We’re a small team and work hard to deliver quality dishes using the best ingredients for our guests.
The pub sits 60 covers and serves top quality produce from Wales, the service is not pretentious, it’s friendly with a professional edge. We aim to anticipate our guests needs and add small touches to create memorable experiences.
Who we’re looking for?
- Someone with a passion for food and hospitality with experience in busy pub, restaurant or hotel environment.
- We’re looking for someone who delivers quality dishes to our guests consistently.
- Punctuality and professionalism are key.
- Someone who’s proactive and anticipates problems.
- Knowledge of food hygiene is essential and a level 3 food hygiene certificate is desired.
- We love new ideas and working methods and are always looking to improve

Duties include
- The day to day operation of the kitchen with the Head chef to a high standard
- Ensure our service and hospitality is the best it can be
- Working through prep lists
- Working the lines during service
- Maintain 5 star food safety standards
- Helping and preparing for monthly events
- Assisting with outside catering
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
