We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation effectively
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any faults or repairs needed
- Support the development of new dishes and menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service during busy periods
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service establishment is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service standards within a hospitality context
