Team Leader Warehouse Jobs in Crewe at Buffaload Logistics Limited
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our Coldstore Team on a 4 on 4 off day shift.
Job Purpose
To control the warehouse operatives on shift to ensure efficient operational running of all outbound and inbound functions within the warehouse
Specific Responsibilities and Objectives
- Ensure all goods received are receipted in and checked in accordance with HACCP/Quality requirements
- Complete relevant paperwork to comply with health and safety and food safety standards and HACCP requirements and to track the service provided.
- Ensure Non-Conformance Reports are completed for all pallet/product/trailer issues
- To monitor and control the Returns/Quarantine Area.
- Operate relevant MHE and ensure all Warehouse Operatives operating equipment are permitted & authorised and that they are operated in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensure all MHE users complete a Pre-Check sheet at the start and end of their shift and that any defects recorded are dealt with
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with Buffaload Logistics’ accident reporting procedure
- Ensure that the warehouse is left in a tidy and hygienic condition at the end of the shift and Hygiene Records are completed.
- To ensure temperature probes are calibrated weekly and the records are completed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Carry out other relevant reasonable management requests as required by your Line Manager
- Accurately pick orders and wrap for safe transit
- Ensure all goods despatched are recorded on a fully completed Load Plan and all Critical Control and quality checks are completed and recorded.
- Ensure all goods are picked/loaded correctly and secured for safe transit.
- Ensure all goods that require stacking/re-stacking on pallets are stacked and secured as far as possible to provide stability for transit reducing product damage.
- Management and control of warehouse and product security
Qualifications
- HACCP Awareness essential
- Other relevant industry qualifications
Experience
- Previous experience working within a similar role, business and/ or industry
Other Criteria
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be physically active due to the nature of the role; dealing with heavy goods
- Must be fluent in English due to the nature of the role; being in constant communication with planning teams, operations teams and warehouse operatives
