Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Production Supervisor/Manager to join our production team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to develop their leadership skills within a dynamic production environment. The role involves supporting production operations and learning key supervisory functions. As a Trainee Supervisor/Manager you will gain experience across all our departments. As you develop your skills and gain experience you will progress to becoming a production supervisor on‑site.
Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with teams to optimise assembly processes and reduce waste
- Participate in quality control checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Support the supervision of staff during shifts, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Assist in analysing production data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Experience
- Previous exposure to manufacturing or production environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Essential Criteria
- The successful candidate will be required to apply for the Level 5 Higher Level Apprenticeship in Food and Drink Manufacture at CAFRE. This is a 3 year part-time course.
- Applicants must have 2 A Levels or equivalent qualifications plus a minimum of three GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above including English Language, Mathematics and a science subject.
- The successful candidate must have their own transport so they can attend classes on the CAFRE campus.
Pay: £13.35-£17.53 per hour
