Tree Trimmer / Arborist Crew Member
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced and dependable Tree Trimmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for trimming, pruning, shaping, and removing trees while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and quality. This position requires knowledge of proper tree care techniques, operation of tree trimming equipment, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, shaping, and removal services.
- Remove dead, diseased, or hazardous branches and trees.
- Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders, and other tree care equipment safely.
- Climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and aerial lift equipment when necessary.
- Clean up and remove debris from job sites after work is completed.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Work effectively with crew members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of tree trimming or arboriculture experience preferred.
- Experience operating chainsaws, chippers, and/or aerial lift equipment.
- Ability to safely climb trees and work at heights.
- Valid Florida driver’s license preferred.
- CDL license is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in Florida weather conditions.
- Frequent lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing.
- Ability to work at heights and operate heavy equipment safely.
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends and emergency storm response as needed.
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
