Warehouse Loading Operative Jobs in Radstock at Parker Transport Ltd
Parker Transport is an independent warehousing and distribution company in the South West, based in Westfield, Radstock. Due to continued success and growth, we are looking for a Warehouse Loading Operative to join our friendly and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load all trunking vehicles in line with operational schedules.
- Ensure the safe loading of double deck and straight frame trailers in accordance with DVSA safe loading guidelines.
- Accurately label and scan all pallet network freight prior to loading onto trunking trailers.
- Support the timely and safe dispatch of all night trunk drivers and vehicles.
- Maintain clean and tidy loading bays and surrounding work areas, including pallet freight (PF) zones, using brush-up where required.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, is kept clean, presentable, and in good working condition.
- Conduct regular checks of canopy and yard areas, removing any consumables and securing high-value goods.
- Carry out the unloading and loading of trunk vehicles.
- Assist with the unloading and loading of collection and delivery vehicles as required.
- Support general yard duties to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Competencies:
- Proven experience in a Pallet Network
- Awareness in DVSA Safe Loading
- Able to work as part of a team and alone
- You will thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A forklift counterbalance license required ( Please do not apply if you do not obtain this)

- 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays), after 2 year’s unbroken service employees will receive an additional day’s holiday which will increase by an extra day (pro rata where necessary) after each additional full years’ service up to a maximum of 3 days.

Additional Details:
- Hours of work Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 to include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break (47.5 hours p/week)
- Starting salary £33,000 p/annum to include weekly performance bonus
- First 6 months probationary period
