Pet Stylist/Groomer Jobs in Monroe, OH at Independence Pet Hospital
Independence Pet Hospital is a veterinary hospital and grooming facility that opened in September 2020! We are in Monroe, OH, conveniently located off I-75 and the Route 63 exit, near the outlet malls. We are looking for a pet stylist/groomer to grow with our new hospital. We are looking for a diligent individual with a professional work ethic who loves being creative with pet styling. The quality of grooming services is of utmost importance as we want to create a long-lasting relationship with pet owners. Applicants who have had previous grooming experience are preferred.
We provide a professional yet relaxed work environment. We have a new facility equipped with a state of the art grooming tubs which are electric, to help raise dogs up and down for bathing. We also have new cage banks, large runs, 2 grooming tables, and multiple dryers for grooming pets.
Groomer candidates must have the following criteria to apply:
- A High school diploma or GED.
- 1-year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
- 1-year of experience in retail or other service industry where they’ve provided top notch service.
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Candidates must pass the drug screening (in applicable states) and be 18 years or older
At this time, we are flexible with a candidate for full or part time hours. We can discuss compensation at the time of an interview, depending on candidate’s previous experience. Groomers can keep the benefit of tips from customers.
