Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating steel components and structures, ensuring precision and quality in all work. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and metal fabrication .
Duties
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components using various hand tools and power tools
- Fabricating parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Operating fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
- Inspecting completed work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and quality requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, and fabrication processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
- Experience with assembly of metal components is desirable
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
